be prepared for the beaveree

all those attending...
Beavers, leaders and adults who wish to attend the Beaveree will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink with them, though free drink refills will be available throughout the day. If the weather is wet, everyone will need a coat and wet-weather shoes. The Beaveree has a backup wet weather programme in place should it be raining or stormy on the day.

how it works!
On entering the site there will be leaders in jackets directing people for parking. Leaders will use the grass areas around the car park to gather up their group before 'booking in' at the Information Desk. Each group will be given a timetable, a set of tags and a map before heading to the main field to set up a "home base" where all bags and equipment will be stored throughout the day.

The Beaveree will start with an Opening Ceremony round the flag pole at 10am. Everyone will be made aware of the on-site rules and introduced to important members of the Beaveree Team. The day will be split into 4 1-hour zones, with lunch and run-about time in between.

At each zone there will be a director and support team who will oversee all activities in that area. Some zones will consist of sub-bases which Beavers will rotate round over a period of time, the zone leader will direct leaders when the change over period is. All other adults will be expected to help out, join in or supervise the Beavers depending on the activity.

The Beaveree will finish at 4pm with a Closing Ceremony around the flag pole. Leaders will take their group back to the car park, ready for collection.

Beaveree 2009 Badge
Everyone who attends the Beaveree will receive a special event badge that they can wear on their uniform or badge blanket. This year's badge has been designed by a Beaver Scouts and will be unveiled at the event.
